Decorative plywood
Plywood, also known as laminated board or composite board, is made by slicing wood into thin sheets, arranging them in straight or cross-grain patterns, and bonding them with adhesive under pressure. The overlapping arrangement provides the plywood with overall structural strength, greater load-bearing capacity, and resistance to deformation caused by temperature changes.
Applications of decorative plywood
Common uses of plywood include flooring, bed boards, large tabletops, residential partitions, decorative panels, cabinet furniture, and backing boards.
Surface finishes for plywood: Similar to solid wood, plywood surfaces undergo finishing treatments such as veneering or painting for aesthetic enhancement; veneering (using materials such as melamine veneer, solid wood veneer, laminates, PVC veneer, etc.), and painting.
